1. Flat Weave Rugs!

Adding an area rug in a space can really pull the whole thing together, similar to adding a pop of color. There are tons of options to choose from: hand woven, hand knotted, machine woven, flat weave, and so on! We’ve chose to share with you a few of our current favorite flat woven rugs. You can find flat woven rugs in any color and pattern, as well as in any style. Not only that but they are also available in a number of materials, including wool, hemp, linen, cotton, and silk. Flat woven rugs are great because they’re extremely durable and low maintenance.  While flat woven rugs are thinner than normal area rugs, they’re a great choice because they don’t get dust and dander embedded in them like thicker pile rugs do. So they’re great for all of you with allergies! Besides being available in any color and pattern, they can add so much texture, which can turn a good room into a great room.

The main difference between a flat weave rug and a hand tufted rug is the plushness of the rug. Flat weaves are much flatter than hand tufted and therefore not as soft or plush as a hand tufted will be. One thing to keep in mind is that hand tufted rugs will not last as long as a flat weave will. Nor are they as durable as a flat weave. Flat weaves are great in dining rooms for this exact reason. Your chair legs wont ruin the rug!

Flat weave rugs are a good choice if you ever feel like layering a rug! They can give your space even more texture. If you choose a flat weave with a saturated color or one that has a bold pattern, layering it on top of a neutral flat weave will balance out great and add interest to a space! We’ve included some great images of rug layering! Take a peek!

    1. I love rugs. Especially to put accent in the living room. I like to mix and match it. But we also have to take good care of it also.
